I credit Jenny, more than any teacher I've ever had, for equipping me with the skills to be successful. She will teach you how to write compellingly and succinctly for any audience. I've had essays accepted to newspapers and scientific journals. My personal statements, reviewed by Jenny, earned me acceptance to Stanford University and a full-ride scholarship to a top-20 medical school. Jenny Leeds was incredibly helpful during my essay writing process. At the beginning, I didn’t even know where to start. Jenny has a real gift for meeting you where you are. I came to her with an essay that was honest and heartfelt, but I was telling my story from the outside, as someone things had happened to, rather than as someone driving their own narrative. She helped me shift that, and the result was something I was genuinely proud of: a story centered on my love of math and what it's meant to my life. I still catch myself using metaphors from that essay when I'm explaining myself to friends; that's how much it actually captured who I am.

We highly recommend Jenny and her services. She is an absolute joy to work with!! She has your student take total ownership of their essay and guides them in a way that, I know, they never thought of before. Essays should not be about how many clubs or activities you were involved in or how busy you were leading up to college; they should take all of those experiences and show how they contributed to who you are as a student today. Jenny knows exactly how to extract the best voice of your student and create an essay that is truly about them and who they are. I can’t recommend working with Jenny highly enough. She was amazing at helping my super independently-minded kid identify the meaningful threads of their personality running through varied activities and experiences in high school. From there, she helped my kid weave those threads into a story that tells who they really are, in their own voice.
The personal statement captured my kid’s strengths and quirks beautifully. Jenny also helped with the supplemental essays and brought that same thoughtful approach to each one. She was great at helping my kid steer toward answers that reflect a depth of character beyond just answering the surface level of the application questions. So that the resulting essays really helped round out a complete picture of my kid in their whole college application.
Jenny is especially great with strong-minded, clever kids. She knows how to listen, when to push a bit, and how to guide the process so the student still feels heard and in control.
